I installed a wilkinson roller bridge on my Jazzmaster yesterday and I haven’t been able to put it down since.
the tune-o-matic bridge it came with was cheap (its a squier so they have to cut corners somewhere) and was giving me tuning issues whenever I used the trem. Also, the saddles on the bridge were poorly machined and I was getting a terrible buzz from the saddle under my d string.
The Wilkinson Roller Bridge was super easy to install and set up as it came with replacement studs that fit the thread pattern of the originals and easy access locking allen nuts for each saddle as well as the posts.. Intonation is perfect all the way up the neck and the trem is smoother than I could have ever imagined. If you own a Jazzmaster with a tune-o-matic style bridge, I highly recommend dropping one of these in your guitar. They are fantastic and cheap at only about 24 bucks.

I was never a big fan on Jaguars until I heard this one, that fourth position sounds absolutely fantastic. I want one

Cant speak highly enough of these guitars. They sound so damn good, and they are an unbelievable value. The satin neck is fantastic (mine even has some figure to it). and the build quality blows the Mexican fender stuff out of the water.

Squier Jazzmaster (J Mascis Signature), Vintage White
I went and tried one of these out at my local guitar store yesterday. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to guitars so I tend to pass over imported guitars with basswood bodies, but I wanted to try a jazzmaster (never really sat down with one and really played it). I have to say I was incredibly impressed, despite the basswood body the tone was amazing (for reference I was playing it through a blackstar ht5 amp, an amazing little recording/practice/apartment amp I highly recommend.) The fit and finish of the squier classic vibe and vintage modified series blows the Mexican Fender stuff out of the water in my opinion, especialy in the value-for-money department. One of the things I love about the Mascis Signature is that it has a TOM bridge instead of the traditional vintage style jazzmaster screw bridge (which as a person who picks fairly heavily I hate because the strings always get pulled out of there grooves.) I’m thinking I might have to go back today and buy it, and for 399, its a hell of a guitar.

1967 Fender Bandmaster Head
I love my current amp head, but if I had the money I would have kept my bandmaster head for cleans, it sounded so damn good.
